I live in Canada in a small city called Nanaimo in a small house (there's a theme developing here, right?) with my husband, two dogs, and a very standoffish cat. I like to keep busy, so in between a full-time job, renovating our small house, and pursuing a Masters degree in Community Development, I decided to make a complete lifestyle change by starting the keto diet, which is basically a low carbohydrate/moderate protein/high fat diet designed to help you lose weight, manage health issues, and generally feel better.


I'd like to get deeper into the reasons why I started the keto diet, but that is a story for another day. For now, suffice it to say that I have gone into many rabbit holes of research on the subject and found one common thread: most of the content about the keto diet online comes from nutritionists, fitness coaches, athletes, olympians, doctors, and other professional experts. Please know I am none of these things. I am simply a very enthusiastic consumer of data and research, and I want to share my findings, tips, tricks, and successes with other normal, regular people like you. From one average joe to another, I hopes that what I have to offer will be attainable, easy-to-follow, and most importantly, simple to incorporate into your busy lives, just like mine.
